What Type Of Clothing To Use To Exercise?
lready made the decision to exercise yourself, but you do not know what type of clothing use to exercise? In this time of the year, people often buying clothes for exercise to keeps New Year's resolution, and it inspires us to begin or just to continue the routine. Besides, we like to buy something new because it makes us feel good, especially if it has something to do with loosing some weight, plus it keeps us focused on our goals. But, many times we wonder what type of clothing use to exercise because selecting the right clothes to exercise is as important as the exercises we will do.
Clothing should be as comfortable and fresh as possible, that allows for movement. Could be shorts, tee shirts, tights, wear whatever feels good to you. Test your clothes before you exercise to make sure they do not ride up or slide down. Always wear light-colored clothes, a hat, plenty of sunscreen and sunglasses if you are exercising outdoors.
You may also want to invest in clothes made of special wicking material such as CoolMax. It keeps you cool and dry in the summer and warm in the winter. Also, the exercise clothing should be of a breathable material to collect the sweat, preferably a set of those lycra cotton: besides retaining sweat, they are able to let you move comfortably.
If you want to do weights you can use a tank top. If you are running or walking, a simple pair of shorts and tee shirt might be fine. If you are doing yoga or pilates, you might choose more fitted clothing so you can move freely but stay covered. Never use any type of plastic sweatshirt because it is harmful to health because can cause dehydration and muscle cramps.
In addition, for exercise like aerobics or running, and even for pilates and yoga, the sports bra is a better choice than a regular bra. They give a lot of support and coverage, yet they move well and are smooth under tight fitting tops and tanks. Sports bras have come a long way over the years and you can find them in just about any style you need to accommodate your shape. You can also find sports bras made of the new, breathable materials, which are great for those who get overheated.
Do not forget!! Footwear is also as important as what type of clothing use to exercise. It should be comfortable and suitable for exercising. Make sure they are sturdy, fit well, and have heavy cushioned soles and arch supports. If you plan to run, getting shoes fitted by a sports shoe salesperson can be helpful. The wrong fit can be uncomfortable or even hurt you. Socks can be important also. They help absorb sweat to help you avoid blisters.
For weight training and low impact activities consider a cross-training shoe, running or walking shoes. If you are going to be running, you will want a running shoe so your feet will have plenty of support. If still in doubt what type of clothing use to exercise you must know that all your clothing should allow you to move freely, be comfortable and confident. This will help you get the best out of your workout.
