Introducing The Bike Boutique Lifestyle Store - Part 1
How do you get it across to someone that weight loss and fitness is based on complete lifestyle change?
My friend got a personal trainer because she thought it would change her life and jump start her losing weight and geting HOT!
I try to suggest doing something she will really like-kick boxing or masters swim team are good ones, cycling club. It is a surer way of staying with a program for years in my opinion.
My friend is upset about the fact that she has not lost any weight though seeing a trainer. She keeps eating taco bell and other fast foods, cheesy nachos, etc. I don't know who to help her visualize a diet change because she thinks fast food is the only option because she works 12 hour days.
She wants my help but she feels hopeless. She thinks the food I eat is bland and boring because it has no sugar or cheese or butter. I is mostly vegetarian She is more of a meat and potatoes person. Any suggestions for getting someone inspired to improve their diet-even if a little? Should I tell her to focus on diet first?
Well, she can still eat potatoes and meat and still lose weight. Don't try to make her vegetarian. People take it like you think they're better than them, even if you aren't trying to. They still see it that way.
Tell her it's the junk food that is making her not lose weight. Many people work 12 hour days and make good decisions when it comes to eating. There has to be some places that sell healthy food. Why doesn't she pack her own meals and take them to work? My mum does that and works all day. But she still eats junk, even though I try my best to tell her it's bad for her without trying to force her to eat better. She eats bad when she's not working. Go figure.
