Why lies my ferret often flat on his stomach when I have him out of his cage?
Hi,
I have a male ferret of one year old. He's very playfull and loves to run around in the living room. But lately when I play with him all of a sudden he lies flat on his stomach. It's not that he lies there for 5 to 10 minutes but usually for a couple of seconds. I know sometimes it can be a playfull thing for them to do, but he can do it sometimes 4 times. I dont know if it can be that he's a little bit hot or that he's just tired.
It kind of makes me worry because I don't want him to be sick or anything. He's had all his shots so it can't be anything of that.

My two do that 
in my ferrets for dummies book (aka ferret bible!) It explains its just there way of running out of petrol for a few seconds then after a quick flop there filled back up and ready to go.. just there way of regaining energy!
If his eyes are bright, his nose and ears are clear from any gunk, hes eating and drinking, and his poop is normal... you have nothing to worry about!
If you are still worried, just nip him down the vet for a quick check over.
