2001 Pontiac Grand Prix Parking Brake Light?

I have a 2001 Grand Prix, and for the last week or so when I accelerate off the line (fast or slow) the parking brake light blinks on. To turn it off I have to give the brakes a good tap. Ive cycled the parking break light comes on and off like it should, and it does work. Any one have this problem, or fix it ideas.

The parking brake and the low brake fluid use the same light. If it comes on during acceleration, your brake fluid level is low and you need to add some brake fluid or replace your pads. The brake fluid gets low as the pads wear as the whole system is hydraulic. Another possibility is a brake fluid leak. As you accelerate, the fluid gets pushed back causing the low brake fluid light to turn on.
