Bicycle - installing clipless pedals?
I just have this cheapy mountain bike I found in my parents' garage and adopted, but I want to put clipless pedals on. I bought some today, but can't figure out how to get my old pedals off. The dude at the store said they would pretty much go on any bike, but it doesn't look like there's any way to get these old ones off. Between the pedal and the pedal arm, there's a flat part that looks like it's designed to be turned with a wrench, but it won't budge, and it just doesn't look like it's designed to move. The directions said there'd be an Allen wrench fitting to get them off, but I don't see one on my bike. Do I just need to concentrate on whaling on the flat wrench-y part until it turns? I don't want to break anything. Has anyone installed these before? Any experiences shared would be welcome and appreciated. Thx.
Here is a great site I just looked up, complete with photos...While I am a Mechanic, I figured this would help a lot more than my banter on here.
Oh, also once you begin to ride your clipless pedals, always always, always unhook your left foot first..why? As you go to unhook your left foot, you shift your balance to the right, so if you happen to fall (while learning or just not paying attention at a stop sign or red light) you will fall to the right, and away from traffic 
Oh, and the pedal wrench...it is a thin 15mm wrench a normal 15mm wrench is too wide to work
