Kizer Harmani Suspension Frame Edit (2007)
Did I bend my car frame/unibody or suspension? If I did, how much will it cost to fix it?
I jacked up my 05' Honda Civic where the rear suspension connects to the frame/trunk.The reason why I say frame/trunk is because i think Honda's don't have a frame, just a unibody. Anyway, the car leans to the left now and pulls hard to the right. Do any exerienced Honda mechanics know what the damage is and about how much it's gonna cost to fix it? I am about to try to upload a picture with an arrow pointing to where I jacked it up.
I got it from an auction, not still under warranty.
Your Correct in thinking that you car is a uni body. The manual provided with your car should show proper lift points. If you lift your car in the wrong spot on a uni body you can permanently damage the car. The bad thing is by not lifting in the proper spot you can void the warranty. It is possible that you twisted your car. It will probably have to be put on a stretcher to get straightened out. It is also probable that one of your springs is logged in a compressed position from jacking it up. In fact this is more probable then permanently twisting your car and the repair to release the spring should be around a few hundred dollars.
