winter gear for biking?
The school is around 7 miles away. I already have gloves, ear warmers, a scarf and a helmet (it's designed with aerodynamic vents though I doubt that it'll affect me much even in real cold weather.) basically my upper body is pretty much covered.
So the one thing I'm worried about are my feet and legs. I typically wear only 1 pair of jeans along with socks and tennis shoes. My parents keep emphasizing that my knee cap will eventually develop long term problems (maybe they are trying to scare me). Is there anything I need to do to keep my legs/knees and toes warm? If so, what should/can I do?

Jeans are probably not the best thing to wear while riding, but if you are not uncomfortable with them, no problem. A pair of knee warmers would be less bulky than long underwear or tights worn under your jeans, and they would really help keep your knees warm. They are also fairly inexpensive, as little as $10. One trick to help keep your toes warm is to cover them with a piece of paper towel inside your shoe. Again inexpensive, and remarkably effective, the paper towel blocks the wind and absorbs sweat from your feet, keeping them dry. The towel can be reused several times as long as it doesn't tear, just remove it from your shoe when you reach your destination. The knee warmers are also easy to take off if you find them constricting to wear during your school day.
