Momentum- cycling with the wind
Can you use two different styles of batteries in a battery bank for a wind turbine?
I know this is going to sound like a really dumb question, but can you use a combination of deep cycle and regular car batteries in a battery bank for a wind turbine? I haven't the money to go out and buy deep cycle batteries new and I've only been able to come up with 1 used deep cycle battery so far. I have 2 or 3 car batteries that I've rehabbed and was curious if I could put them together for a little more capacity until I can have all deep cycle batteries? All the batteries are 12V. And at this time I am only planning on paralleling them so that they remain 12VDC but I'm open to putting them in series if that would be a better option for me. I know that a car battery is the wrong kind of battery to be using due to the kind of batteries they are but thought just maybe it could be done for a while to add a little extra capacity to the bank as a whole. Thanks in advance for your help. 
If you mix batteries they have to be in series or the strongest battery will discharge through the weaker ones.
The series charging current will be limited by the smallest capacity battery.
